How do I sign up for Unionlink?

  • To sign up for Unionlink you require a username and password. To get this you will need to create an account by filling out the “create account form with your details.  

  • Some of your details will include your membership number and branch/section name so please ensure you have these at hand when creating your account. 

  • You will then be sent an e-mail with a web link that you click on to confirm your registration  

  • If you do not receive an email, please first check your spam folder. If you have not received an email within three minutes, then please send an email to 

  • Once you have confirmed your account you can log in and select the course you wish to enrol on. 


What is an enrolment key? 

  • Some courses will have an enrolment key. This is designed to stop unauthorised access to certain courses. This enrolment key will be given to you by your course administrator.  

  • If you are prompted for an enrolment key, then please enter the key as supplied by your Course Administrator. 


I have forgotten my login details, now what do I do? 

  • There is a ‘forgot password’ link on the home page of the site.  

  • Click on this link and you may then enter either your username OR email address to receive a new password.  

  • If your details are found on our database, an email will be sent to you with instructions on how to regain access to Unionlink 

  • If this does not work, then please send an email directly to and we will reset the password for you. 


Do I need to have good IT skills to participate in Unionlink? 

A basic knowledge of using email and websites should be enough to get you started with Unionlink. Furthermore, there will be instructional videos and guidelines available to you as well as helpdesk support. 


Do I need broadband? 

We would recommend a broadband connection with a good download speed. 


How long will I have to complete my course? 

The purpose of Unionlink is that you complete the course at a time and place that suits you and that you do so at your own speed. That said, to keep your learning fresh, we recommend you complete each course within three weeks of commencement. You will also get a certificate on completion of each course.
