CWU - Understanding Conference

This course has been designed to guide you on how CWU Biennial Delegate Conference (BDC) operates, which includes the lead up to conference and the running order of conference. It will help you to understand the purpose of conference and will give you a clear understanding of motions and union rules. You will also become aware of the democratic structures of the Union by understanding what is expected when voting and how debates should be conducted.


CWU - Planning an AGM

The purpose of this course is to assist both the CWU Branch Secretary and the Chair to plan and deliver a successful AGM. The Union’s rule book lays down some criteria that must be followed when holding and AGM and this will be referred to during the course.


CWU - Role of the Rep


The CWU is Ireland's premier union for the postal, telecommunications and call centre sectors and has a proven track record in representing members' interests. To do this we need well trained Union Representatives.


This course, My Role as a Union Representative, is an important step in gaining an understanding of your role, how you fit into the union structure and the supports that are available to you.

This is an essential course for any new Representative or Activist in the union. 


CWU "Your Union and You"

Your Union and You is an important step in gaining an understanding of Trade Unions and their relevance for members. 

This course has been designed specifically for CWU  members in the Postal, Courier, Call Centre and Telecoms sectors and introduces you to your union the Communications Workers' Union.

The CWU has over 14,000 members and is the premier union for the communications sector.

Welcome to this course on Microsoft Teams which facilitates remote working.

This course will take you through the basics of how to use Teams such as messaging, video and audio calls, sharing files and other functions.
