In this course, we will examine the purpose and various types of meetings that take place in a Union setting either informal or formal.
We will also examine how to organise an effective meeting from planning, running, review and follow up on action points.
We will see how standing orders work as well as how to take clear and concise minutes.
Industrial Relations
This course gives a brief overview of Industrial Relations. It will help Union Representatives at all levels to better understand the industrial relations system in Ireland, including the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court.
The General Data Protection Regulations
This short online course on the General Data Regulations (GDPR) 2018 aims to support our Workplace Representatives and give you an awareness of the responsibilities, which are now associated with the processing of personal sensitive data. By the end of the course, you will have a general awareness about how the legislation may impact on your role as a Workplace Representative, the rights of individuals with regards their personal data and the responsibilities of Data Controllers in relation to the processing. You will also learn the rights of accessing data, destruction of data, retention and complying with legislation in regards data breaches.
You must complete 100% of the course to receive the certification.
